How are an object's mass and weight different?

third grade sicence hw.How are an object's mass and weight different?
Mass is a measure of how much matter is in an object.

Weight is a measure of the affect of gravity on the matter in the object. How are an object's mass and weight different?
weight depends on gravity. measured in Newtons

Mass is a simple number that depends on the amount of matter, measured in lbs, kg, k etc. Your mass will never change for example, if you have a mass of cheese it will be the same mass no matter where u put it.
Weight depends on gravity. So if you went to the moon, you'd weigh less since the moon's pull isn't as strong as Earth's.

Mass only depends on how much matter you have. So no matter where you go, you'll have the same mass.
