How do I write a narrative story as an object...'A Day in the life of a ...';?

I did this as a poem for my english class last year and did it as a day in the life of an elevator button and then another one on the space bar on a keyboard. just think like it, give it a personality. How do I write a narrative story as an object...'A Day in the life of a ...';?
Choose an object and then imagine yourself as that object. Imagine things that can happen to you. Make sure each thing that happens to you gets worse and worse. Imagine the type of people who you will encounter. Decide what you like and dislike and what you as an object would like to have happen. Decide where you are located, too, since it makes a difference. For instance, if you're a ball kicked by a three year old girl versus a ball kicked in a courtyard by a 300lb man and there's shattered glass all around. Be sure to have fun since these can be amusing.

Good luck,

Write what you think it would be like to be a object, such as a Barbie doll, a baby blanket, or a even a spoon.

What would happen in those 24 hours? Maybe you would be used to stir birthday cake batter and then get to ride in the dishwasher? What would it be like?
