If an object of 1.2 g/cm cubed is placed in pure liquid water will it sink, float, or remain suspended?

I should think it will sink. Water has a density of 1.0 g/cm cubed, so it is heavier than water. But, there are more things that can effect sinking or floating. Needles are denser than water but can float due to surface tension. For things that aren'e small and flat, sink.If an object of 1.2 g/cm cubed is placed in pure liquid water will it sink, float, or remain suspended?
well, water is 1g per cubic cm. So, object is more dense than water. What happens when you place an object that is more dense than water...in water?
