For example I am trying to create a flower graphic on its own without the backgroundHow do you create a transparent background to an object?

if your using photoshop then when you choose file/new the panel that pops up with the options in it has a setting for the background. choose transparent
If you are using M S publisher, you can create the object, then choose to have no background in the Background colour selection box
Yea, And also save it as a png to keep it transparent
